Membership (Please note both membership fees are not transferable and membership is for the person not the school)
There are two parts to a membership of the SBMAQ; a personal membership part and a professional development part.
Personal Membership: You (the individual) must pay for the personal membership - schools cannot pay this on your behalf. - $33
Professional Development Fee: Schools can pay this as part of your professional development. This pays for 4 PD Days including catering per year/access to mentoring program/discounted PD and other Professional Development Initiatives - $125
Both the $33 personal membership and the $125 Professional Development Fees are to be paid to be a financial member of SBMAQ.
Conditions of Membership
Membership is open to all interested School Business Services Managers, Classified Officers and Administration Officers who are aspiring Business Managers.
Members are asked to contribute to professional Development Fees eg:catering, air fares, accommodation, presenters' fees etc, mentoring program
Only registered members will be subscribed to the SBMAQ Discussion List and therefore notified of meetings, conferences etc
A condition of branch membership is application for membership to the SBMAQ
Membership is restricted to members of eight (8) SBMAQ Branches
Membership will be accepted subject to ratification at the next SBMAQ Management Committee Meeting
Discussion List Protocols
Membership of the SBMAQ gives you access to valuable resources, one of which is the Discussion List. As the list is hosted by Education Queensland you will be bound by the Code of Conduct for the Queensland Public Service.
